3065C - Get the Most Out of Your Body Form

Wednesday, January 19th 2022 One day

From 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Faculty: Joe Vecchiarelli

Fee $33.00

Description: The first thing you do when you get your body or dress form is to create your personal sloper - the pattern that's not fashion but fits you to a tee. But then what? Learn all the ways you'll be using your form at home. From testing original and purchased designs for visual integrity, to forming underlays and structure for less stable top layers. From "trying on" patterns you're thinking about making to starting from scratch and listening to the fabric. Joe uses forms on a daily basis for the dozens of bodies he has to fit in Hollywood, and shares with you the many ways he, and you, can get the most from the body double form. After all, you can make fit and design changes to garments on your double so much more easily than you can when they are on your own body!
