Description: Some quilts need something on the edge. Perhaps a border or two, to support and accentuate the design. Others just want to end. No borders and definitely no bindings. In this class we will discuss the design principles of edge-ing your textile piece, and we will learn how to create: a) perfect 3-dimensional flanges paired with borders that emphasize the design or b) binding-less edge-ing for those quilts that need nothing but a clean finish You will be learning the “ENVELOPE” technique to finish your piece. Grace will show you how to ensure an amazing, clean, and professional border/binding-less finish. You will learn all the tricks to create perfect 3-D flanges, perfect corners and edges that hang perfectly, and quilts that are professionally finished.
