1202C - I Am Here - Improv Mapping

Monday, January 15th 2024 Two Days

From 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

Faculty: Annie Smith
Kit Fee $30.00

Fee $198.00

Skill Level: Beginner - Intermediate

Description: Improv Mapping is an exploration in design and captures personal stories and experiences from your past. Working through the project evokes profound memories. Students choose a section of a map that is dear to them. Enlarge it and recreate it in fabric with buildings, blocks, and street details to tell your story. Raw edge applique secures the elements, and the project is embellished with notions, textile paints, patches, and fibers and is all part of the instruction.

Design Class

Kit Contents: a pencil, a Sharpie, some Soft Fuse, drafting paper on a roll, gridded drafting paper sheets, office supply glue sticks, a manila folder, and more. I’ll also have textile paints, stencils and other tools for you to use in class.

All Kits Are Payable to the Teacher. They are not included when you register.
