2014C - Country Fair

From 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

Faculty: Deb Tucker
Kit Fee $52.00

Fee $107.00

Skill Level: All Levels

Description: Country Fair is a beautiful, scrappy quilt based on a traditional block called Carpenter's Wheel. My version of this block is created with Flying Geese units and Diamond Square units to give the same visual effect with much simpler construction. Student will be working with my Wing Clipper I and Square Squared tools to create units that are oversized and then trimmed for high precision. We will also be addressing the use of pieced sashing to create secondary stars and a zig zag border that is also created with Flying Geese units. Students should be comfortable with rotary cutting and basic machine piecework.

Machines Provided by: Brother

Kit Contents: Two required tools: $23.50 each plus pattern: $5.00 - no fee is charged if attendee already owns the required tools. Wing Clipper I, Square Squared, pattern
