3016C - Birds in Toyland Needleturn Applique

Wednesday, January 18th 2023 One day

From 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Faculty: Becky Goldsmith
Kit Fee $5.00

Fee $112.00

Skill Level: All Levels

Description:In this information-packed class, you will learn how to make and use templates and a placement overlay, and how to trace, cut, finger-press, pin, and stitch turned-edge applique shapes to your block. Use the needle (or toothpick) to turn the seam allowance under and sew it in place with an invisible appliqué stitch. I know that applique is the is the A-word for a lot of people but please trust me - you can do it, and you will love it! The 8˝ x 8˝ block pattern is included in the class kit. You will need the book or ebook to make the entire quilt.

Hand Work

Kit Contents: The 8˝ x 8˝ block pattern is included in the class. One 8" x 8” square of medium weight clear vinyl, 1 sheet of clear, heavy weight, single-sided, self-adhesive laminate, an ultra fine point Sharpie marker in black, plus one of my favorite needles and a toothpick.
