Description: Ruler work is the backbone to great custom freemotion quilting and an essential skill in any freemotion quilter's repertoire. Students will learn the essentials about rulers, which ruler to start with, how to stabilize and handle them, how to do stitch-in-the-ditch and how to utilize the markings on the rulers with little marking on fabric required. The best machine settings will be investigated. They will learn to do a few fill designs and to create a feature design. One student per longarm frame machine will allow for maximum stitching time during this compact 3 hour class with achievable results and a class sample to take home.
