Description: Discover the art and flow of quilting feathers in this hands-on class designed for quilters of all levels! Whether you’re brand new to feather designs or looking to refine your technique, this class will guide you through the fundamentals and creative variations that make feathers such a timeless quilting motif.
We’ll start with the basics—learning how to set up your machine, practice smooth stitches, and understand how feather flow influences over stitching. You’ll explore key shapes that form the foundation of feather design and see how subtle adjustments can bring movement and elegance to your quilting.
From Basic Feathers to Traditional Feathers, and the unique Molar Tooth Feathers, you’ll gain confidence creating beautiful, balanced designs that enhance any quilt. Step-by-step demonstrations and guided exercises will help you master both structure and creativity.
By the end of class, you’ll understand how to control your stitch flow, manage backtracking with ease, and bring personality and grace to your feather quilting. Whether you’re quilting on a domestic or long-arm, you’ll leave inspired—and ready to let your feathers take flight!
