Description: Students will get a choice to do either project: Summer Succulents or Fall Foliage. Please make sure to read the correct description.
Summer Succulents:Do you want to make a hexagon Quilt, but need a little more pizazz than the tried and true? This fun take gives you the option of shading subtle color combinations light to dark or going bold and bright for a candy-coated look. Krista will teach you how to cut and piece triangles and parallelograms with ease. This quilt is entirely strip-pieced and foolproof. No fussy piecing techniques, but you will learn valuable pressing techniques that will be a useful addition to your quilting skills library. If you are just getting into quilting, this would be a good next step on your new quilting journey.
Fall Foilage: Fall in love with 60-degree angles in Krista Moser’s Fall Foliage class. Learn how to cut and piece a variety of shapes including diamonds, triangles, and trapezoids to make these beautiful fall leaves. Krista will walk you through its construction step by step, sharing tips for getting bulky points to come together with ease. Glean her tricks for using ombre fabric to get the desired effect and movement in your quilt. There are two main blocks, the leaves and the setting triangle units. These are made from simple shapes letting the fabric and shade do the heavy lifting to get the wow factor. If you've been wanting to break out of the same old quilting routine and try something different, this class will inspire confidence and equip you with new techniques.
