Kris is a celebrated international award-winning quilter, and author, with a passion for helping others discover the joy of quilting. As a sought-after teacher at national shows and guilds across the country, she has earned recognition for her exceptional machine quilting skills, including prestigious awards like Best Long Arm Quilting at AQS Paducah 2018, Phoenix, and Des Moines in 2016, as well as the coveted PFAFF Master Award for Machine Artistry at the International Quilt Festival in Houston. Two of her iconic quilts, Tiger, Tiger and Star of India, proudly hang in the permanent collection at the National Quilt Museum in Paducah.
As the creative force behind the Stress Free® Quilting Series, Kris has helped countless quilters overcome their fears and embrace the beauty of quilting without stress. The series offers quilters simple, step-by-step techniques to make every project enjoyable, allowing them to focus on creativity rather than perfection.
Known for her engaging and encouraging teaching style, Kris believes quilting should always be an enjoyable and stress-free pursuit. She delights in connecting with students, sharing her expertise, and inspiring others to fall in love with quilting. Kris currently lives in Kansas City, MO, where she shares a joyful life with her husband, Christopher.
