Katie Zahm

Meet the Teacher: Katie Zahm is a quilt designer, educator, and the maker behind Zahm Co., based in Denver, CO. While navigating hearing loss, Katie found herself drawn deeper into quilting, finding solace in the process. Inspired by a grandmother and their shared last name, she has built a body of work rooted in nature with a modern graphic twist and a muted aesthetic. A devoted hand quilting enthusiast, she is drawn to the slow, intentional, and therapeutic nature of the craft, and brings that same spirit to her workshops and lectures for guilds. Her quilt Astra graced the cover of Quiltfolk's Colorado issue.
