She uses multiple high definition cameras, giving you a LIVE interactive experience that exceeds sitting in the front row or looking over her shoulder during an in-person class. You will learn to identify important considerations when selecting the right stabilizer for your project. You’ll learn how stabilizers are classified, and how easy it is to crack the code. Once you understand these two important strategies, you will have more success in selecting the best stabilizers. In this class you will learn that stabilizers aren’t just for machine embroidery. You will be inspired to use stabilizers in many fun, creative and practical applications.

Pepper Cory

Description: There’s just something unique about scrap quilts from the American Southern states. Pieced from fabric oddities and displaying quirky sets and casual stitching, these quilts are different from their ordered and bordered Northern sisters. Southern scrap quilts have migrated all over the country, just as people have moved, and might pop up anywhere. Why are these quilts important in the larger view of our craft? And can we learn anything from them? Here’s a show-and-tell of some of my collection of Southern scrap quilts to get the ball rolling. Will take questions at the end of the talk.

Pepper Cory

Description: Sashiko is a relaxing time-out from machine sewing. I've been stitching Sashiko (Japanese hand quilting) for about 15 years and now incorporate it into a lot of my quilt work. Sashiko combines well with many woven stripes and plaids that quilters already have in their stash. In addition to adding Sashiko to quilts, I use Sashiko to embellish clothing and home decorating items from curtains to table runners. This talk is an explanation of how I came to love the craft and then a show-and-tell of many of my Sashiko projects. Will take questions at the end of the talk.
